The summer is in full swing, which for the MUTC board has meant Summerfest, Milwaukee festivals, hot sweaty running and everything good about Milwaukee. August is now upon us, which means the Alumni run is just around the corner (August 29th) and school is about to start back up with a fresh cross country season ahead of the MU Cross Country teams.
Volume 15 - Spring 2009
Spring is here, the snow has gone (almost), the men’s and women’s teams are competing outdoors and finally the spring newsletter has arrived. This edition highlights performance from indoor track season, upcoming MUTC events, past MUTC events, alumni updates and more.
Volume 14 - Fall 2008
Dear Marquette Track Club Members, One of the goals of the MU Track Club is to raise money to better support the current Track & Field and Cross Country teams. The money raised will go to fund costs outside the teams’ budget such as: new or specialty equipment, help pay costs of volunteer coaches, travel and accommodation in case of last minute changes in schedule, etc. The funds the MU Track Club raises are achieved through dues and specific fund raising projects. The current Coaching staff has approached the MU Track Club to help raise funds to renovate the men and women’s locker rooms...
Volume 13 - Summer 2008
The 2008 cross-country season is right around the corner and the Marquette University Golden Eagles are ready to soar! The season unofficially gets rolling on Saturday, August 23rd at the 1st Annual ―Blue & Gold Alumni Race.‖ The race will be held in Bayview Park in St. Francis (just 10 minutes south of campus). Women will race at 10:00 a.m. and the men will follow at 10:30 a.m. The race distance will be 2 miles and all Marquette University Track & Field/Cross-Country alumni are invited to participate. The purpose of the race is to bring together MU alums and current student-athletes for a friendly competition. A barbeque will follow the race and alumni are welcome to shower back at the Marquette Gym...
Volume 12 - Fall 2007
The 2007 season for Marquette Men's and Women's Track & Fields was a season of improvement. Our primary goal was to improve our level of competitiveness in the Big East Conference, with all individual goals set with our primary goal in mind. Though we may not have met every goal set, the lessons learned and the experiences gained after our second season in the Big East will benefit us greatly in the upcoming seasons.
